Services

Pin Works specializes exclusively in bridal, bridesmaid, mother of the bride/groom, formalwear, and prom dress alterations.

Whether you need a simple hem, a full fit transformation, or custom additions, I’m here to ensure your dress fits beautifully for your special occasion.

Pin Works is a home-based studio with a dedicated sewing space. Please note that there are stairs to enter, and while you may spot a cat or two, they are not in the fitting room or near your dress during alterations.

Below, you'll find details on the specific alterations services I offer.

Bridal Alterations

Your wedding dress should fit like a dream, and I’m here to make that happen! Whether your gown is elegantly simple or a blinged-out beauty, I offer everything from basic bustles to full fit packages and custom additions.

Bookings fill quickly, so reach out as soon as you've purchased your dress. First fittings are typically scheduled 10-12 weeks before your wedding, with most brides needing 2-3 fittings before a final pickup about 2 weeks before the big day.

Bridesmaid, Mother of Bride/Groom & Other Formalwear Alterations

Whether you're standing beside the bride, celebrating as a proud parent, or attending a formal event, the right fit makes all the difference.

Reach out as soon as you have your dress and know what alterations are needed. First fittings are ideally scheduled 3-4 weeks before the event, with most dresses requiring one fitting and a final pickup.

Prom Alterations

Prom season is an exciting time, and I’m here to make sure your dress fits perfectly—whether it’s sleek and simple or covered in glitter, sequins, and beads!

Reach out as soon as you have your dress. When it comes to prom alterations, early is best—I start fittings in January and continue up until the week of the last prom.

Most prom dresses require one fitting and a final pickup.

Custom Reinventions

Looking to give a cherished dress new life? Whether it's transforming your mom or grandma’s wedding gown into a robe, sleepwear set, or rehearsal dress, or reimagining your own wedding dress into something wearable beyond the big day, I love bringing these one-of-a-kind projects to life.

Due to the custom nature of these reinventions, projects should start at least 4 months in advance, and the number of fittings will vary based on complexity.

Because of the time and craftsmanship involved, custom work is an investment—but the result is a beautifully tailored piece with deep personal meaning.

Ready to Move Forward?

When you're ready to move forward with your alterations, filling out an inquiry form is the only way to get on my schedule.
